Hooley set a new career high at Rider with 24 points and five made 3-point field goals in a 70-59 win at Rider on Tuesday night. The sophomore went 7-for-10 from the field, 5-for-7 from 3-point range and 6-for-6 from the free throw line. At NJIT Hooley scored 10 points, including an 8-for-10 clip from the free throw line.
The sophomore was one of five players in double figures to lead UAlbany over the Highlanders 66-55. Hooley is the first sophomore since Jamar Wilson in 2004-05 to lead UAlbany in scoring. He is currently averaging 16.3 points per game, 2.1 assists per game and a free throw percentage of .894 (42-47). He ranks fourth in the league in scoring and free throw percentage.
