Ithaca Wins Empire 8 Title Game

  Top-seeded Ithaca College got 13 points each from Jenn Escobido and Mary Kate Tierney as the Bombers defeated host Hartwick,47-29 to win their second straight Empire 8 conference title.

Hartwick's Maria Foglia led the Hawk's with a 12-point effort, and was named to the All-Tournament team, along with Ithaca's Escobido and Devin Shea, who was named the MVP.

Ithaca improved to 25-2 on the year, and receives an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III tournament.

Hartwick fell to 19-8, and awaits word if they will get a bid to the NCAA tournament on Monday.
