CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- College Football Performance Awards, the largest awards organization in D-I college football, recently announced its watch list for the 2013 CFPA FCS Quarterback Award, and UAlbany quarterback Will Fiacchi earned a spot on the list. The preliminary watch list highlights thirty-two returning performers, vying for the top quarterback honor in the Football Championship Subdivision.

In 2012, Fiacchi led UAlbany to a 9-2 overall record. He completed 188-of-309 passes for 2,156 yards. He contributed 11 passing touchdowns with only 5 interceptions, adding two touchdowns on the ground.

"Congratulations to Will Fiacchi on earning a spot on the 2013 CFPA Quarterback Award Watch List," stated CFPA Executive Director Brad Smith. "Fiacchi's contributions were key to UAlbany's success in its final season of NEC play."

The CFPA Watch List is a rough guide to returning performers for the 2013 season. All CFPA recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration.
