Kansas City, Mo.- UAlbany's senior guard Jacob Iati was named to the 2012
National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, which
recognizes collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics
during the 2011-12 season.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes
the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court, and the hard work
they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, an
athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria.
Iati, a York, Pa. native, was an integral
part for the Great Danes, especially towards the latter half of the season. He
finished the season averaging 5.2 points per game and shot a stellar 45.6
percent from behind the arc (36-79). The senior guard had back-to-back 20-point
games against Rider (2/18) and Binghamton (2/23).
