Rich Vleck,
ROCHESTER, NY, (June 2, 2013)- Saturday Night, on the way home from his fourth
place finish in the Patriot Sprint Tour A-Main, George Suprick suffered a heart
attack and was found to have multiple blood clots and is being treated at
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Suprick, 54, of
Clarks Summit, PA, was driving the Ide Motorsports Hauler back along Route 80
near Clarion, PA when he began to notice chest pains. He managed to get the
transporter pulled over and his teammate Clint Ide called 911. Thankfully,
paramedics and an ambulance was less than a mile away at the time and were able
to care for Suprick quickly. George was flown by helicopter to Pittsburgh where
he is currently in intensive care unit in stable condition. George is in his
typical spry spirit and was able to contact his team owner Mark Ide to help ease
his anxiety.
More information will be passed along as it becomes
