Young
Drivers Joe Trenca and Kelly Hebing Ready for the Challenge at "The Fast
Track"

"It's pretty cool that we're opening up on a big, nice, fast track for the Speedweek," said Trenca, a young driver with aspirations to someday tour with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series. "Rolling Wheels is a really unique track compared to the other ones. It's a real long track, it's a fast track, it's a lot different - long, long straightaways, and the corners are a little wider too, so it makes for a lot of room for racing."
With its unique 5/8-mile length, Rolling Wheels presents a special challenge for the extra-fast race cars to kick off their Speedweek. After Wednesday at Wheels, racers with the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints will travel to four other Central New York tracks, racing nearly nonstop from Wednesday, July 3, through Sunday, July 7. Each show during the week pays a winner's share of $2,000, and at the end of the week, top point-getters receive an extra $1,000.
A $300-to-win show for the 305 Sprint Cars joins the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints at Rolling Wheels Wednesday, July 3, with a second generation of sprint car racers ready to show their skills. Kelly Hebing, daughter of Empire Super Sprint star "Cobra" Chuck Hebing, debuted in a 305 Sprint Car Saturday, June 22, at Canandaigua Motorsports Park, and "Lil Cobra" plans to race at Rolling Wheels for the Sprint Car Summer Shootout. Canandaigua Motorsports Park rules apply for the 305 Sprint Car event at Rolling Wheels.
Rolling Wheels will also host a $300-to-win DIRTcar Pro Stock/Stock Car Challenge as part of the Sprint Car Summer Shootout. DIRTcar Pro Stock and Stock Car Rules or Home Track Pro Stock and Stock Car Rules will apply.
Be sure to stick around after the races for a special fireworks extravaganza in celebration of the national holiday!
General admission for adults is just $20 for the Sprint Car Summer Shootout, and children 17 and younger are admitted to the grandstand area for FREE! Tickets must be purchased at the gate the night of the event. Pit admission is $25 for members or $35 for non-members.
General camping and parking are FREE at Rolling Wheel Raceway Park, with VIP parking available at $25 per spot and reserved camping just outside turns 1 and 2 also available at $25 per spot.
