Albany Saratoga Speedway - Ready to Race Again

Promoter Lyle DeVore and his team will host a full night of racing on Friday for the Ace True Value Hardware and Jumpin Jack’s Pro Speed Shop sponsored night.

After rain forced the cancellation of activities at the Malta oval for the last two weeks management is thrilled that a beautiful sunny day is being predicted.

Albany Saratoga weekly race divisions will be joined by the Atlantic Coast Old Timers (ACOT) Auto Racing Club.

Also on tap will be the ‘Mike Ronca Memorial Dash’ for the Modifieds. The seven-lap dash will pay $700 to the race leader. Ronca, who passed away unexpectedly over the winter months, was a familiar fixture at the Speedway for decades.

Rich and Don Ronca will make up the front row and they will be joined by the top five in the point standings: Brett Hearn, Kenny Tremont, Matt DeLorenzo, Jeff Trombley and Ronnie Johnson.

Since Ronca drove the number seven automobile the leader of lap seven in the feature events will receive $100 in his honor.

The pit gates open at 4:00 p.m. and racing begins at 7:00 p.m. See you there.
