SYRACUSE RUNNING BACK RENE TO HAVE SEASON-ENDING SURGERY
Syracuse running back Steven Rene (Brooklyn, N.Y.) will miss the
remainder of the 2012 season due to an upper body injury that required surgery.
Syracuse University team
physician Dr. Irving Raphael will perform the surgery on November 27. Rene will
be evaluated throughout the rehabilitation process. His status for Spring
football will be determined beginning in March 2013. Rene played in five games
as a kick returner and punt returner this season.
