Raabe, Clair vying for track title and series points
"We're in the middle of a championship battle with Mario Clair," said Raabe, who proved in last year's Super DIRTcar Series victory at Cornwall that he has what it takes to take on the big dogs. "He has a significant advantage right now going into Sunday's race, but we're hoping for a decent finish and we're looking forward to a chance to compete with the guys in the series."
In addition to the usual DIRTcar 358-Modified Series rules, this finale for Cornwall's Canadian Nationals features a mandatory on-track pit stop.
"It gives teams a chance to adjust the cars," said Raabe who, like many other racers, likes to take advantage of the opportunity to work on the car midway through the race. "it's certainly going to add an extra twist and it's going to be cool for the fans as well. They'll get to see the drivers working down there on the front stretch."
Fans at Cornwall will get a glimpse into teams's pit strategy as they watch them fuel up and make necessary tire changes right on the quarter-mile's front-stretch.
Joining the DIRTcar 358-Moidfied Series in Cornwall's finale are full shows for Pro Stocks, Sportsman Modifieds, Semi-Pros and Mini Stocks.
