State fairgoers get $5 off admission to Rolling Wheels September 1

Present New York State Fair ticket stub at the gate during Labor Day Classic Stars & Stripes 100 for ticket discount

WEEDSPORT, N. Y. - Tuesday, August 27, 2013 - Late summer in Central New York means it's time for the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse. In celebration of state fair season, Rolling Wheels Raceway Park presents a special offer for race fans who attend the fair. Fans who present New York State Fair ticket stubs at the gate during the Sunday, Sept. 1, Labor Day Classic Stars & Stripes 100 will receive a $5 discount on general admission tickets. "It's a great time of year for the racing community, and the New York State Fair makes it that much better for those of us in the Central New York area," said Jeff Hachmann, General Manager for Rolling Wheels.

 "We're happy to provide an incentive to attend two of the biggest events going on in the area during Labor Day weekend. Plus, it's a great opportunity for out-of-town racing enthusiasts to see the New York State Fairgrounds in a different light, before NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week takes over in October." Sunday's Labor Day Classic Stars & Stripes 100 features the stars of Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series, many of whom will take on the "Moody Mile" at the New York State Fairgrounds in October.

The 100-lap feature is the first race on a 150-point schedule, raising the stakes in the series going into the racing postseason and NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLII. Joining the Big-Block Modifieds will be a full show for the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds and DIRTcar Stock Cars, each feature boasting a $500 winner's share. Competitor pits open at 4 p.m. and grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. for Sunday's Labor Day Classic Stars & Stripes 100. Patrons must present New York State Fair ticket stubs at the time of ticket purchase to redeem the $5 discount. Only one discount is allowed per ticket stub.

Valid ticket stubs from any day of the New York State Fair, which runs from Thursday, Aug. 22 through Monday, Sept. 2, will be accepted for the offer. The discount does not apply to pit admission.
