Princeton, N.J.- UAlbany men's and women's track and field competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational this past weekend. The men's squad placed first in two events, the 1500-meter run and the high jump. The women's squad broke the UAlbany school record in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:44.27. The Great Danes continue their 2012 spring track and field schedule with the Penn Relays on Thursday, April 26.

In the 1500-meter run, freshman Chris Buchanan finished first with a time of 3:51.96 which was a meet record in the event. Another freshman Alex Bowen placed first in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.08 meters.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Alex Petit-Frere Peter Rowell, Charles Karam and Jonathan Santana placed eighth with a time of 3:16.72. Senior Paul Lagno finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:52.67.
