Kathryn Fanning Runs Personal Best In 1500-Meter At The Larry Ellis Invitational

Princeton, N.J.- UAlbany men's and women's track and field competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational this past weekend. The men's squad placed first in two events, the 1500-meter run and the high jump. The women's squad broke the UAlbany school record in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:44.27. The Great Danes continue their 2012 spring track and field schedule with the Penn Relays on Thursday, April 26.

For the women's track and field squad, sophomore Kathryn Fanning opened up the meet with a personal-best 4:29.39 in the 1500-meter run. Her time was the second-best perfomance in school history and an ECAC qualifying time as well. Junior Emily Finnegan followed up her teammates performance with a personal-best 10:55.83 in the 3000-meter steeple chase.

The women's 4x400-meter relay squad that featured Kamilah Williams (57.9), Sherez Mohammed (55.6), Tynelle Taylor-Chase (55.4) and Allison Rogers (55.2) broke the UAlbany school's record time with a finish of 3:44.27.
