Cambridge, Mass.- UAlbany
women's track and field junior mid-distance runner Emily Finnegan was named to
the 2012 America East Conference All-Academic Team. Finnegan held an eye-popping
3.96 GPA in a double major of globalization studies and spanish.
Finnegan, a Niskuyana, N.Y.
native, placed second at the America East Championships in the 3000-meter
steeplechase with a time of 10:36.71. Her second-place finish time was good for
an ECAC qualifying mark. She was also named to the 2011 America East Cross
Country All-Academic Team, as she placed 14th in the America East
Championships.
