Patriot Sprint Tour Canada Series Debuts This Weekend at Granby

ROCHESTER, NY, (May 6, 2012)- Not only will this weekend’s races at Autodrome Granby be the first races that count towards the all-new PST Canada Series, or be the first points-paying races in Quebec in Patriot history, but Saturday’s A-Main will pay a cool $5,000 to the winner.

This Friday and Saturday, over $33,000 in prize money will be distributed in the first ever Can-Am Sprint Car Challenge at Autodrome Granby in Quebec . This lucrative event has been building in anticipation throughout the winter and the time has finally coming for four sanctioning bodies along with Ohsweken’s Corr/Pak Sprints to collide on the 4/10-mile oval.

A host of Patriot Sprint Tour regulars will be travelling north for the weekend, including defending series champion Jared Zimbardi . Four-time PST Champion Bryan Howland will visit the speedway for the first time, as will Scott Kreutter and Steve Collins . Tim Kelly, Tommy Wickham, Dylan Swiernik and Justin Barger will return to the speedway for the first time in a while.

With this being the first pair of races in the PST Canada Series, the pursuit for that $5,000 championship begins with Canadian contenders like Glenn Styres, Keith Dempster, Jamie Collard, Alain Bergeron, Chris Jones, Devin Caron, Michael parent, Lee Ladouceur, Chris Durand and Travis Cunningham planning on attending this weekend.
