innings, UAlbany (33-10) scored two in the top of the third with a Charlise
Castro two-run double up the middle. Then in the fourth, the Great Danes would
load up the bases and Siena pitcher Jessica Sandrini would walk in two more to
add onto the deficit, 4-0.
Both McFarland and Toole would each hit two-run homers, one to deep center and one to right, in the top of the fifth to enforce the "eight-run" rule after MacFawn went 1-2-3 in the bottom half of the inning.
Game two, UAlbany jumped out to a 2-0 lead from a two-run double off the bat of catcher Kylie Apostolina.
Siena would cut into the lead, 2-1, with a Sandrini RBI-single to left to drive in Sarah Milligan.
The Great Danes would score four more, two in third, one in the fourth and one in the fifth, as insurance runs for Brittany Schwieger (14-4). Schwieger would allow just two runs in her 12th complete game, giving up seven hits and striking out seven.
