Albany, N.Y. - Junior Austin Chase pitched a seven-inning complete-game, leading UAlbany to a 4-1 win in the first, while Nolan Gaige went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and one RBI to pace the Great Danes to a 9-8 win in the nightcap, as UAlbany recorded the second doubleheader sweep in as many days over Binghamton, completing a four-game sweep of the Bearcats on the weekend.
UAlbany improves to 20-29-1 overall, with a 14-7 record in America East play.
In game one, both teams scored one run in the first inning, while UAlbany completed its scoring in the first three innings.

Pete DiResta send home Gaige in the first inning, while Gordon Madej smacked a single into right field to send home Jeff Welsh in the second. Madej, who went 2-for-3 on the day, recorded two RBI in the third with a single through the left side, scoring Welsh and Mike Tirri.
Chase scattered five hits in his seven-inning outing, allowing just one unearned run, and striking out four in the win. Jay Lynch took the loss for Binghamton, going six innings with eight hits, three walks and five strikeouts. Dave Ciocchi had the only extra-base hit for the Bearcats, with a double in the sixth inning.
