STARKVILLE, MS – Sophomore outfielder
Olivia Reeves (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) continues to receive
postseason accolades for The College of Saint Rose. Reeves was one of just 26
student-athletes that earned a spot on the 2012 National Fastpitch Coaches
Association (NFCA) Division II All-East Region squad.

From an overall standpoint, this
year’s teams are comprised of 204 student-athletes from 89 institutions spread
out over the eight NFCA regions, with a first and second team for each region.
NFCA member coaches in each of the eight regions selected this year’s All-Region
teams and all honorees are now eligible to be selected to one of three
All-American teams.
A second-team pick, Reeves batted
.397 (46-for-116) which was the fifth-highest average in the Northeast-10
Conference. She was also among the league's top-10 in slugging
(.759/2nd), walks (31/4th) and home runs
(11/T5th). Reeves furthermore led the conference with a .527 on-base
percentage. She recorded 16 multiple-hit games and strung together a season-long
nine-game hitting streak. Reeves was named the NE-10 Player of the Week on one
occasion (3/26/12).
Reeves is the lone student-athlete in
program history to pick up first-team accolades from the NE-10 throughout the
Golden Knights 12-year league tenure. She has been an All-Conference performer
throughout each of the past two seasons. She was named to the league’s
All-Rookie squad last spring.
