Albany, N.Y. - UAlbany men's lacrosse
players Ty, Miles and Lyle Thompson, along with former standout Mike Banks, are
all making appearances in "Crooked Arrows," Hollywood's first feature film about
the sport of lacrosse. The movie, produced by J. Todd Harris, Mitchell Peck and
Adam Leff, is set to open this Friday, May 18, with showings locally at
Crossgates Cinema.
![]() The Thompsons, who are current student-athletes on the UAlbany lacrosse team, are featured in the film as players on the Crooked Arrows squad. Brothers Miles and Lyle are members of the Onondaga Nation, while cousin Ty is a member of Mohawk Nation, both of which have several representatives in the film. Former Great Dane Mike Banks, a 2011 graduate of UAlbany, makes an appearance as a player on the Coventry Academy team. More information about the film can be found at www.crookedarrows.com.
